Three musical perspectives. One composer.

For more than two decades, Dutch composer and producer Marc Bras has been creating electronic music that explores atmosphere, emotion and the way people experience the world.

Today, that artistic vision is expressed through three distinct musical perspectives: Embrase, Embrasphere and Urban Observer.

Rather than separating genres, each project explores a different perspective while sharing the same creative foundation: carefully crafted electronic music, cinematic atmosphere and storytelling. Together, they form a single artistic universe where each project has its own voice, yet all are connected by the same curiosity to explore what lies beneath the surface of everyday experience.

Embrase

Looks inward. How do we experience time?

Since its beginning in 2004, Embrase has explored time, memory and imagination through instrumental electronic music, evolving melodies and immersive cinematic soundscapes.

Without words, the music creates space for personal interpretation, inviting listeners to experience time not simply as something measured but as something felt.

Embrasphere

Looks beyond. How do we experience emotion?

Embrasphere explores melody, atmosphere, emotion and human connection through melodic electronic music, vocals and cinematic elements.

Contemporary generative technologies are used as creative instruments within the process, while the artistic direction, composition, editing and final creative decisions remain human.

Urban Observer

Looks around. How do we experience everyday life?

Urban Observer observes contemporary society through electronic music, vocals, spoken word and reflection.

Rather than expressing opinions or offering solutions it quietly documents everyday behaviours, routines and the systems that shape modern life, inviting listeners to notice what often goes unnoticed.

One artistic vision

Although each project has its own identity and language, they all emerge from the same creative curiosity.

Embrase explores the inner landscape of time, memory and imagination.

Urban Observer explores the social landscape of everyday life, human behaviour and the systems that quietly influence us.

Projects

MBRA Studio also provides space for creative projects that exist beyond the three musical identities.

These projects bring together music, film, visuals and storytelling, allowing ideas to develop without having to belong to a specific artistic project.

The Assignment

A cinematic short film exploring character, atmosphere and visual storytelling.

Alongside film projects, MBRA Studio develops trailers, music-driven visuals, cinematic concepts and experimental creative work.

Marc Bras

Since the beginning of Embrase in 2004, Marc Bras has continued to develop a distinctive body of work where atmosphere, melody and storytelling come together across multiple musical identities.

Each project offers its own creative space, allowing new ideas to develop naturally while remaining connected through a shared artistic philosophy.

Whether composing the instrumental worlds of Embrase, the melodic vocal productions of Embrasphere, or the observational reflections of Urban Observer, every composition begins with the same intention: to create music that invites listeners to slow down, reflect, imagine and return for another listen.

Music, in this sense, is not simply entertainment. It is an invitation to experience time, emotion and everyday life from a different perspective.

MBRA Studio brings these worlds together, providing a space where different disciplines can meet, new ideas can develop and each project can find its own voice while remaining connected to the whole.
